We are all individuals, and we all deal with things differently. I think the most important things are that (a) we know she’s “okay” (as “okay” as someone can be in the depths of sorrow) and (b) she knows we love her and are supporting her.

@FourWalls She has a lot of years of memories of time spent with him, but that's still not as good as him being there with her. I hope she has people who are with her if she needs them there.

We all miss Linda and look forward to her return. What a nice view - it's good to see beaches that respect the ecology of wildlife. Of course Chuy's is included in your adventure

I’ll probably eat at Chuy’s tomorrow because there’s one in the vicinity (Jacksonville), and I can’t let Sonny’s get too far ahead.

@much2say — Sonny’s is BBQ. Their smoked turkey is other-worldly. And no, there are a couple of Chuy’s that have a sign that say, “If you’ve seen one Chuy’s, you’ve seen one Chuy’s.”

About the only thing they all have in common is an Elvis shrine; however, even those are all different.

It’s the least I can do for her, and for all of her friends here. I miss telling her what I had for lunch, too, especially because I’m currently not eating at Chuy’s every day!

Thanks for that update, it's really appreciated. Nice shot, I love being able to see for miles and miles .... come to think of it, I can't remember what it was like when dad took us to Germany where there were trees etc, funny what little kids will or not remember.

Glad you are enjoying your trip. Nice to know about Linda and looking forward to seeing her back here, You tell her to try to keep busy in some way because if she is just sitting and remembering that is not the way to go, Believe me, I know and you know what? As I spent another week after my husband's passing not wanting to get on the PC just watching movies and such suddenly my PC turned on by itself and I knew it was my hubby saying Common kid get back on line and get on with living,

@FourWalls One of my brothers suddenly passed when he was 43. I remember going to my Mom's apartment and dealing with details. At one point I called her brand of religion, asked for a priest to get his rump over to her, nope. I called Mom's friend's brand and that guy zipped over to console Mom. Hard days for sure.

She is VERY greatly missed. We all have her in our hearts and thoughts. But we also understand this may not be a good time for her. We'll be here for her when she's ready to join us again.
