Winter Market

Good afternoon from cloudy Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA where the forecast calls for about 2 inches of snow tonight. I hope so. I don't want to be disappointed again.
This morning was the Winter Market. There was a lot more foot traffic than there has been since Christmas. I had some interest in my books and a lot of amazement from people who looked at my books on the table, but sadly, no sales today.
As a group, we decided we're not doing the Winter Market again next year. We're sitting there for four hours, hawking our wares like the rest of the market, but no results. It's not worth the time for us when we could be more productive at home.
People are more interested in food than anything else. The person beside us selling cheese did wonderfully. The person on the other side selling salsa did well. Between the four of us, we had one sale. I hope we all do better next time, but after this year, we won't participate again.
After the market, my neighbor and I went shopping at Dollar Tree and the grocery store. I spent a lot more than I expected, especially since I hadn't planned to spend anything at Dollar Tree. I spent $15. I also spent more at the grocery store where I only planned to buy bananas and came out with four salads, a dinner, and dessert. I just finished the dinner - spaghetti and meatballs. I knew when I got home I would be too hungry to wait for the oven to cook my fish.
I also got six laps on the hallways when I got home, so I have all my steps, just not the hourly ones. I still have this hour and the next and I'm finished with those.
What has your day been like? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me from the market, not today. I don't have that picture downloaded yet.

Too bad you didn't have any sales, but the market was probably fun anyway. They are having some kind of writer's market here as well, but it is not a winter market just for book sales. I might go,,who knows?

Sorry your winter market was disappointing. It seems as if those types of things can be hit or miss with sales. My daughter and I did one years ago and we were selling our handmade crocheted items with very little interest but the guy next to us made a killing selling homemade jelly/jam. I agree that food seems to be popular

@just4him our local firehouse is having a craft sale next month and my daughter is trying to talk me into doing it with her. I'm skeptical but I might just give it a try.

I am enjoying my afternoon working on sharing news stories as well as completing surveys under a sunny afternoon with the temperature at 69 degrees F.
