Reminiscing

I was scrolling through my phone's gallery, and I saw this. This was taken last year. They're my level 2 pupils, I was their adviser that time.
Seeing this picture made me think of our good memories last year, they've been very close to me. This is the hardest part of being a teacher I guess. It's when you get attached to kids who will soon leave you after a year.
Thinking that I've been with these kids for 8 hours everyday, that I've spent more hours with them more than their parents, that I've thought them lessons in the books and lessons in life, and to think that I played a major role in their lives, it's making me feel emotional.
My only wish for them is that they'll achieve great things in the future, and that they may also be an inspiration to others.
PS. I purposely covered their faces for privacy purposes.

In our final year of primary school, our English teacher gave us her number so we could stay in touch. I called her during summer vacation for her birthday, and she was surprised I remembered. Then we didn't hear from each other anymore, but that was cool I guess. 
Maybe you'll see your pupils again in years, I think you might recognize them or they will.

You are really considerate to cover their faces for privacy purposes since they are minors and need parental permission for you to post their pictures. You seem like a very kind adviser! Way to go!
