Firefighters with the Chattanooga Fire Department answered an emergency call in the same city on Sunday January 26 when an auto that was driven by a woman when a tree fell on top of her auto trapping her inside.
A stranger managed to free the child whose gender was not released out of the damaged auto.
The firefighters used a wooden structure to lift heavy objects and airbags to lift the tree off of the auto.
The woman was taken by an ambulance to be treated for her injuries that included a concussion and injuries to her vertebrae.
Her son only suffered a bruise, hand injury and a head bump.
The firefighters believe based on the evidence that someone cut the tree that fell on top of the auto.

That is true since the newspaper and internet report mention that a lot.

That looks like that the car was completely crushed and it was good that the occupants could be rescued without too much injuries to them.

The auto was crushed in the front part by the fallen tree indeed.
