This will be my First Samhain celebration and I am really excited. We will be carving the traditional pumpkin, and having a special dinner, an taking the kids trick-or-treating. I am really excited. My husband does not believe in witchcraft that much but he is willing to let me celebrate Pagan holidays as long as I allow the kids to have there fun with the candy and costumes. So it all works out.

Yes, I celebrate Samhein.
Samhein is a pagan/celtic holiday. It was the time where you spoke to your ancestors and wished them farewell. It is when the veils are the thinnest so communication to the spirit worlds are easier.
Later, it developed into Halloween although celebration of the true Samhein still continues.

Yep. I wouldn't call it a "celebration" because I view Samhain as a very solemn time where one remembers those who have gone before, and reflects on the choices that one has made. But yes, I do observe it each and every year -- no going on seventeen years.

I celebrate Samhain yes ^_^ This year will be my third officially. I'm hoping I can catch a public event, like the Annual Witches' Ball or something else in my local area. Not sue exactly what I'll do yet though.
I tend to do everything spur-of-the-moment, and don't do too much planning. Which works fine for me.

Samhain is the most important and meaningful holiday for me. And I agree with others here, it is best to create your own ritual and make it personal to you. That is assuming that you are a Solitary. I have also participated in group rituals as an invited guest of a coven and am fortunate enough to have a Pagan community center near my home. However you choose to celebrate, ENJOY!
