In the afternoon yesterday my mother came to me and told me she was going to the market with my father. She told me they would be back by evening. I was busy at my store. When I shut the store and went to my house; I came to know from my wife that they had not come back. The time was 9.30 p.m. I got worried. I immediately called my friends and my relatives to ask if they were with them. But my parents were not with them. I was deeply worried. I told my wife that I was going to the market to see where they were. I came out and found both of them coming. My father told me they had been to a temple at the outskirts of the town. The temple is about 5 kms from our house. I'm glad to know that my old parents; who both are in their late seventies; are still able to enjoy a long walk..

There is nothing scary. They went to a temple that's 5 kms away. I didn't think they are able to walk such a long distance.

I did not think they could walk that distance. But now I'm happy that they are able to walk 5 kms up and then 5 kms down. They didn't go to the jungle. They went to the temple and came back.

It was natural to get worried. Your parents should have called you up. I heard a similar case among one of my relatives!

@Shivram59 Well, you can only try to persuade them. But if they feel fine, let it be.

Neither of them likes to carry phone with them. They don't even know how to use it. I asked them to learn it; but they refused.

That's great. My father is 80 years now and is scared of going out alone from last few months as he feel weak while walking. He don't want to go out now a days and want to have rest. I am glad to know that your parents went for a long walk.

@sjvg1976 That's enough for his age. Look after him. I wish him an early recovery.

Mine and yours fathers are old; but some people get less weaker in old age and some less weak. Does he have any problem other than old age??

Thanks. Actually neither of them likes to carry phone with them. They don't even know how to use it. I asked my father several times to learn how to use it; but he refused.

OMG, I cannot blame you if you feel terrified. The time they were not around could scare me too. I'm glad they arrive home safe. They might feel tired and hungry.

Thanks. They had been to a temple. Neither of them carries phone. To my father it's just a burden. So I could not call him. My mother does not like to use mobile phone. But thank God they returned home safe. Yes; they were hungry; but not tired. While taking dinner they watched news and then went to bed.
