Many years ago we had a coworker who was going through some kind of health challenge. It was quite awhile ago so I don't remember who or what the issue was but a teacher came up with the idea of having a homemade soup fundraiser to collect money to contribute to the family. The first year was very successful so they continued it and it ballooned to also include salads, dips, and desserts. The teacher who coordinated it retired so the Souper Bowl did too for awhile but in the past few years it was resurrected as a "grab and go" soup fundraiser with rolls, crackers, and a few desserts. I make different things each year. In the newest version of the fundraiser I've made broccoli cheese soup, spinach tortellini en brodo, and something else I'm forgetting. This year I'm making Ina Garten's Chicken Pot Pie Soup. I've never made it before but her recipes are almost always winners. I have all of the ingredients and will get it made on Thursday after my tutoring. I'll have to bring my Instant Pot into work since I don't have a crock pot. It has a "slow cook" feature to keep the soup warm. A coworker's family owns an amazing seafood restaurant over on the island and her husband is the head chef. She brings in their creamy crab bisque each year so that is what I always go for. There are lots of other offerings. This year the signup sheet included chicken chili, sausage and kale, mushroom barley, Asian dumpling, butternut squash, tomato, chicken and rice, stuffed pepper, lentil, and lots of other stuff I'm forgetting. It is always a fun day at work and the $$ raised these days goes to offering scholarships to our graduating seniors.

To have the soup and whatever is at least a $5 donation. All of the proceeds are used for scholarships.

That sounds yummy. I would love to get an instant pot or air fryer someday soon.

That's a really great idea. I'd be going for the bisque too.
