Life is boring now.

From last few years life has been boring for me. Things are not in my control. Kids are not doing well in the academics. I don't know how they are going to do in their future. My job has become more demanding and with the growing age I am not able to manage. Just approximately 10 years left for my retirement from the job , I don't have enough more to live. God knows what's going to happen. I have some plans but they require money. Hope I may be able to earn enough money to fulfill them in future after I retire from the job.

In life , there are certain things in our control and some things are not. Focus on things we can do and for rest we can pray. With kids , you can talk to them like a father and friend and understand their challenges. Build a better relationship with them and do what you can . Things will turn well. And for money , everyone are short of money and well you got to see if there are ways to invest and grow your money and see if there are ways you can bring more revenue even after retirement. That will help you to deal with money issues long term. Instead of feeling victimized , work on the problems and solve. Good Luck!

Hi @jobelbojel How are you?. I will definitely start a business in the future because I don't want my son to go through the same life that I am going through.

Sorry you are feeling pessimistic about your future. Would you maybe be able to find some tutoring for the kids, so they can do better in school? As for your job, maybe ask some of your co workers how they can cope with your demanding boss.

That sounds emotional just pray God to intervene the attitude of your kids to have the right focus in their studies. Old age is inevitable, make sure you already have your retirement plans.

I'm sorry things are looking bleak at the moment. Hopefully the kids will come to their senses. There is only so much a parent can do. I do hope things improve for you.
