Today is my day off but I am trying my best to just chill and not do too much as work these days have absolutely been manic. I have been coming home from work with swollen feet and hands. As well as back, hip, and knee pains. Tomorrow and Thursday is our scheduled monthly bloods which is even extra busy and I am working on both days. So today all I am doing is cooking, dishes, and laundry. I refuse to do any more housework until the weekend at least. Hopefully I will survive tomorrow.

If you can, stop and put your feet up and rest, maybe read a book or watch something on the television. That will help with the swollen joints. Take some pain reliever, too. I hope the next two days aren't as busy as you think they'll be.

I have been elevating my feet. I do not know if something else is causing the puffiness apart from prolonged standing as my hands also suffer from it.

@flapiz If you're keeping your hands at your side quite a bit, then they'll swell up, too.

@DaddyEvil I see. I was starting to worry I may have rheumatoid arthritis or worst heart disease.

You need to take good care of yourself if possible. You don't want anything to go wrong with your own body. The housework will all wait.

I am valuing health more and seriously thinking it’s about time to change career again. It is too demanding for my body.

@flapiz Some jobs are very hard on our bodies. Try to look after your back especially. Going through the rest of your life with a bad back would not be much fun.

Goodness, you need some rest! I hope you can find a way to relax, hydrate, and breathe.

I try my best to hydrate during the given breaks but sometimes I only find time to go toilet for a wee once within the 12 hour work period. I forget I need to go because of how busy it is.

I hope so too it has really been very physically demanding and I am trying to not use up my Annual Leave yet as I plan to go home end of this year. The less holiday I take the more money I can save.

This reminds me of when I was a waitress.I would come home with swollen hands and feet. It was just horrid.

Gie your mind and body some rest. I am as well facing the same scenario. I get tired after day's work but still there are enough things to do and I often end up doing less than what I should be doing. I do get overwhelemed as well. A few days ago, I decided health is important. I will give good care and work to fix those and do things but will not be a maniac .In that way I am physically and mentally at peace. In your case, please take pain reliever if needed and give your hands and feet a good rest. Unless you are in good health , you cannot prolong with the work and things. Take care!

Yep I do struggle to stop myself from being a busy body. But I am realising the value of health even more as I age. My body is asking me back for all abuses and overwork I subjected it to.
