Firefigters near my building entrance, ambulance too. Life isn't easy sometimes, it seems

It was an entrance across me but, ambulance didn't have that sound like it was an emergency but firefigters did. I didn't want to peek but i wasn't the only near my window. As i could see; firefigters removed the window's grid from the first floor. And i had a feeling that it was an elder person. In my building, elders are usually in the lower floors. When ambulance came, 2 tehnicians, they carried out, i think, an older lady. It could be she didn't switch off the gas or something. I saw some people on the phone, maybe her family members or acquaintances but noone told her she will be fine (i mean, i didn't hear it or saw anyone holding her hand), noone seemed distressed. I also heard 2 ladies laughing when they were chatting. Maybe this was just a small accident but, i felt a bit sad cause, if she was really alone, by herself, that's not always easy. That's life, i reckon.
