I have a batch of Milk Bar's carrot cake cookies in the oven / myLot

The Souper Bowl scholarship fundraiser is on Friday. I will make the soup tomorrow but today I am doing carrot cake cookies as a bonus treat. The recipe is from Christina Tosi's All About Cookies baking book. The layer cakes and pies in her first book--momofuku milk bar--can be VERY complicated but this recipe was surprisingly simple. I had everything on hand already so they were easy enough to mix up. The first sheet tray is baking at the moment. I will have at least 1 more to go if not 2. I will have to get them in and out of the oven while my tutoring student is working on his assignment. Hopefully they will be a hit. We shall see.

I haven’t heard of her, but then I shouldn’t judge by if they’ve been on The Food Network.

I don't think I've ever seen her on Food Network but I do think she was a contestant and/or judge on Masterchef. I have 3 of her baking books--momofuku milk bar, Milk Bar All About Cake and Milk Bar All About Cookies. Like I said the recipes from the 1st book can be VERY involved. The Candy Bar Pie requires making 5 or 6 different components before assembling it. The layer cakes are always stunners. I made the carrot graham one for my ex's birthday back in December. He said it was delicious. These cookies were much easier to make. There was an episode about her on Chef's Table on Netflix.
