Yet another plane crash? / myLot

Apparently, a plane carrying ten people is missing off of the Coast of Alaska. It was a Cessna, with a capacity to carry perhaps ten passengers and two crew members. I am not familiar with the aircraft involved, but I'll do a bit of research as more information come in. From what I read, this plane had requested, and been granted, a holding pattern before it disappeared from radar and stopped communicating. Weather conditions were reported as foggy and snowy. Icing may have been an issue, though I would assume a modern aircraft operating in Alaska would have de-icing technology. Had you heard about this one?

I just read about that. it seems so weird there have been a rash of plane crashes lately. However, more typical in Alaska then other places. Sometimes planes just disappear there and are never found.

I had not known that. But Alaska is pretty big, and there are not that many people there.

@TheHorse Well, not only that but since the distances are so vast, people tend to fly quite a bit there

@snowy22315 I read this morning that a lot of towns up there are not accessible by highways. Basically, you have to fly, somewhere along the way, if you want to get there.
