Well now I'm all fired up

As anyone who reads my posts even occasionally knows I do a lot of virtual tutoring after work. It is at least 1 hour per day, usually 2, and sometimes even 3. I've been taking everything I can for several years from all 3 high schools in the district to earn some extra cash. As far as I know no parent/student has ever complained about me (for tutoring anyway hahaha) Payroll has never found a discrepancy in all of the vouchers and hours/dates/times billed. I make decent $$ doing all of the tutoring. The problem is that we do it via Google Meet and Google Classroom. Some jerks were tutoring during their class hours so now we have to submit the time stamp sheet that is emailed to us after each meet. The problem is that they aren't dated nor are they necessarily accurate. One of the guidance secretaries I work with has acknowledged that and says it is a very common problem. I received an email like 2 weeks ago about a time stamp that said I was in the meet for 44 seconds while the student was there for an hour. Yeah sure. A teenager would stay in the meet for the full hour with nothing to do and no teacher around. I just did 2 hours straight with one student. The time stamp sheet says I was there from 3pm to 3:15 but then also says I was there for just 12 minutes. The student was properly recorded at 3-4:59pm. I'm really getting sick of this. Payroll will challenge stuff like this even though they know that the function of the time stamp email is really to record attendance and it is well-known that it isn't reliable. I just fired off a text to the union president. I'd better get paid for the time I just put in. That's $91. I'm supposed to be relaxing and chilling after a work week. My blood pressure is dangerously high.

I know you need the money but is this really worth it?

@NJChicaa But if you can't prove it, they can use that as an excuse not to pay you.

@NJChicaa I think I would be tempted to tell the powers that be to fix it, or you are done. That’s just ridiculous.

Pay sheet mess ups are enough to make you want to walk away and never look back. I am experiencing some problems getting my PTO to show on my time sheets.

Well blah! Always remember your ex-postal buddy Karen if you need someone to scream for you.

Ugh. Why can't 'they' get stuff like this sorted? Surely it can't be that difficult.
