As I had mentioned earlier I finally went to a doctor about the weakness in my limbs. I was given some tablets and one of them Ultracet has created havoc in that my mouth has gone totally dry and there is nausea too I called up the doctor and told him about the side effects. He has asked me to stop taking those tablets. That is the problem with Allopathy Every single tablet has side effects but the doctors do not tell us about it.

Yes, they have side effects. Doctors should morally and ethically tell us about that. Many do too but then there is no choice at times, to cure something one has to cope with the side effects. Hope that you feel better soon.

But these side effects are bad and there are alternatives to pain killers. I would rather bear the pain that go througfh this. I could hardly eat anything. Normally I have a good appetite. I only hope I will get back my appetite as I have stopped taking them. Thank you for your wishes

Yeah that's why I can't trust doctors and I use this app called 1mg. I type the medicine name and it shows side effects of the same.

I always check the side effects only after I have taken the medicine as most of the time they only affect a few people and this time it affected me.

@Dreamerby No. He did not. But I was not keen either as I am more concerned about weakness rather than pain

It was a good move to reach out to your doctor and get the advice on the medicine stoppage. Side effects are definitely frustrating and especially when it is there for sometimes such as nausea. Ultracet does have those side effects. Most allopathic medicines does have side effects. Doctors usually should weigh benefits against risks before prescribing them. There are times, some side effects cannot be predicated and can be individual specific. I do agree the doctors need to be upfront on same and provide detailed explanations. I hope he has prescribed alternative medicines instead of Ultracet. You could try other pain management techniques such as ayurveda or naturopathy and see if those help. Take care!

You are right when you say side effects are individual specific and that is why I did not check for side effects until I got affected.

Oh no, not a good start with those side effects. I agree the doctor should have told you first. Sometimes they do, sometimes... they forget I guess.
