I had a teleconsult with a doctor a few days ago and I asked her about my right low back which I frequently experience nowadays. I am not sure if it's because of my weight or too much sitting. I have also a little tingling sensation at times on sides of my right thigh. The doctor referred me to a rehab doctor. Hopefully I can find one near me.
How are you all doing today?

Oh no, I believe that could be a precursor to sciatica, which I have had for some time. All of the above is the cause. Being overweight and sitting for extended periods of time can compress your back, impinge on your nerves, and cause a tingling sensation in your leg. I had multiple physical therapy sessions, which helped to some extent, but the pain kept coming back. Rather than using conventional medicine, I tried alternative medicine, such as a chiropractor, and it stopped and helped me a lot more.

I have also used a chiropractor when my back was so locked up and in pain I could not even move. I don't wish that on anyone.
I now religiously do stretching exercises the chiropractor recommended to keep my back muscles loose.

Oh my goodness. Speaking of chronic pain, I am dealing with that today. Technically, I have been dealing with that for the past ten years, but starting this year, it has been just pure agony. Wow.

@rakski I see a physical therapist once a month due to cost, but even that is useless now so I'm thinking of just dropping my physical therapist altogether because money is just so tight I can't afford this extra expense. I have medication for all my pain, but at the end of the day, what are they really doing for me? I'm growing immune overtime and then what? I don't know. I'm in a tough situation, but I'm not giving up.

If the pain continues right down your limb then it could be sciatica.

@rakski Since you say it is on one side it could be sciatica. Tingling has to do with nerves.

Sorry to hear you've been experiencing back pain, that sucks! I thought you were quite physically active, doing your steps etc, so I doubt it has to do with a sedentary lifestyle but who knows. I know unhealthy food choices as too much sugar can cause all sorts of pain but again, are you really eating that bad?
Either way, I hope you can find a solution and feel better soon.

@rakski True, extra weight could make things worse. Maybe you’ll be able to lose some, slowly if done the right way.

Rehab should help. Many people get this kind of discomfort. Often it is from the sciatic nerve, and special exercises help a lot.

Better than you at least physically anyway.
. Your pain could be kidney related as well. Are you drinking enough water?

Maybe you are working too much, take care of your body. You can always leave the house chores and other activities you have in a week, they will not runaway from you, lol! Just rest if you need too. Health is wealth.
