Today it was interesting to find the Baltic States – Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania connected to the electricity supplied via Finland, Sweden, and Poland after disconnecting from Russia. "We did it!" How it happened was that on Saturday all the remaining transmission lines between the Baltic States and Russia, Belarus, and the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad, wedged between EU members Lithuania and Poland and the sea were switched off one by one. First, it was Lithuania with a specially-made 9-meter tall clock in downtown Vilnius, the capital counted down the final seconds, then Latvia a few minutes later, and finally Estonia.
