Police and animal control officers rescue a woman in a kayak that was in a frozen lake

Police officers from Holts Summit Missouri as well as animal control officers of the same city answered an emergency call on Thursday January 30 when a dog fell into a frozen lake near Dogwood Drive and Summertree Lane.
A woman who was using a kayak to rescue the dog that was in the frozen lake was rescued by the woman, the kayak that she was using was stuck on the frozen lake.
The police officers were able to use a water rescue throw bag into the frozen lake so they could reach the woman and tow her kayak back to the shore safely.
The good news is that the woman and the dog are safe and sound.

A brave move by the lady, which did not turn out that well for her, ending up in her needing rescuing too, as well as her dog.

That must have been such a tense moment! It’s amazing that the police and animal control officers acted quickly to rescue both the woman and the dog. She had good intentions trying to save the dog, but it’s a relief that they both made it out safely. Just goes to show how dangerous frozen lakes can be, even when trying to help. Glad it all ended well!
