I've had some sad news this morning. Our Pastor Steve phoned up to tell us that Frances Saxton has died. Frances Saxton was someone we knew from Church, and she is the reason I go to Church today. When I was 2, my Dad was ill with cancer. He had Hodgkins Disease, also known as Hodgkins Lymphoma. Frances Saxton put a leaflet through our door advertising a divine healing meeting at the Church, so my Mum and Dad went along to it, and my Dad was prayed for. My Dad went into remission for a bit, but then later he died. But it was at that meeting that my Mum and Dad gave their lives to Jesus and became Christians, and my Mum's being going to the same Church ever since, as have I. When my Mum married Syd he started going to the same Church too, but he doesn't go much now, except to the luncheon club, because of his hearing. Frances Saxton used to send me birthday and Christmas cards every year with her fancy writing even though she hasn't been attending Church for some years now due to disability. Steve is going to phone us back when he has details about the funeral. R.I.P Frances Saxton.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Frances Saxton sounds like such a kind and faithful person, and it’s clear she had a profound impact on your life and your family’s journey in faith. It’s beautiful that she kept in touch with you all these years, even when she couldn’t attend church. I hope you find comfort in the memories you shared with her. Keeping you and your church family in my prayers.
