American Character

America re-elected a guy as President who wears diapers because he has never been toilet trained. A guy who avoided the draft because he is a born coward. A guy who lied about his education. A guy who abuses women and pays them off. A guy who declared bankruptcy five times to avoid paying his debts. I could go on but the shocker is that he was elected. So what does that say about the character of America

You need to understand something…and I say this as someone who loathes his attitude, lies, and all of that (and I didn’t vote for him this time…I did vote for him in 2016). Where the Democrats made their fatal flaw in the 2024 election was to make the election about the person and completely ignore the issues. People voted issues, NOT the quality of the individual. I told NJ Chic last year, after the outrage over a man competing as a woman in swimming (and subsequently breaking every record in the books) that people are offended by that. She didn’t believe me. Well, as it turns out, the Election Day exit poll showed that more than half of the people polled said that “gender identity” had gone too far. John and Jane Middle America might hate DJT, but they hate the idea of a man going into a woman’s bathroom more. I’m sure that a lot of people who DID vote for him are having “buyer’s remorse,” NOT because of the sleazy person he is (they obviously knew that going in), but because he’s breaking promises at a record pace. “America first,” “make America great again,” “save America” has suddenly become, “Screw America, let’s annex Canada, Greenland, and the Gaza Strip.” We have FIVE territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands, the Mariana Islands, and American Samoa) that he says NOTHING about making states, but insists on making sovereign nations “the 51st state” when the country in question has no interest or desire to do so. Never mind Canada, where’s our $1.98 gas again like he promised? I hope people have enough “buyer’s remorse” to change things in the Midterms. Don’t count on it, though. PT Barnum, the circus magnate, was credited with saying “there’s a sucker born every minute.” Nowhere is that more true than when it comes to American politics.

that the Dems chose a non-white woman was their defeat. Trump won the first time simply because he was racist. Having a Black Man in the white house was an anathema to many Americans. Having a woman as leader had people voting against the Dems the first time trump ran. Had the Dems picked a white man about 50... they would have won. But people vote against a candidate more than for
