George Conway is a bright Conservative man. But I am too old to take to the streets! Would you?

I was too young to protest the Vietnam war, or racial injustice. Then I became more conservative, due to life experiences. I voted for Mitt Romney in 2012, in spite of the fact that Barak Obama was doing a good job as President.
Then Donald Trump came along. I thought he was funny and irreverent, and he made me laugh. But of course I could not vote for him for President of the United States.
I lost tens of thousands so of dollars under Trump, due to unemployment, but I battled back under Biden and am now doing OK.
Now, under Trump, I pay more for gas and groceries, and worry about air travel, but I am earning enough that I will probably be fine.
But the stress induced by the prospect of living under a Dictatorship could undermine my (and many Americans') health. As my Aunte used to remind me, I am not a Spring chicken any more.
George Conway is an intelligent man. He is a conservative, but he has common sense. I urge you to watch this video. He contends that the Constitution and the current legal system cannot protect us against Donald Trump. He says we have to take to the streets and engage in peaceful protest.
Can you see yourself out there protesting? I feel like I would just be another Wahoo
out there. But I'd consider it.
Again, can you see yourself out there protesting?
Disclaimer: I get my sneakers at Big Five Sporting Goods for $29.95 and they last for several years. I would not be among those acquiring free sneakers during or after a protest.

Nothing against those who do, but I’ve never been into protesting. I saw the pain that it did to my daddy. He was a victim of it. I never knew how much damage was done to him until the last year of his life. He had never talked about the Vietnam war.

@TheHorse I’m glad that my daddy finally talked about it.

No, I'm too much of an introvert to do anything of that sort.

Why'd you go with Mitt if you like the job Barak was doing? Brain fart or something?

No. I knew I was in California, where Barak would win I wanted to make a statement against "political correctness." I worked for years in the 'hood, as a child psychologist. Some people were paid more than others based on gender and race, not qualifications. It was frustrating to me.

I don't "protest" but I have supported protesters. For teachers' strikes, we have brought them food, made signs, that sort of thing. I tied ribbons onto school fences to make a river of color to show support. This type of thing is peaceful "supporting", but these things would do nothing for political stuff.
So since I don't "protest", this is what I do. I talk to my kids A LOT and we have discussions about things so they know what's going on in their world. I tell them they don't have to "like" politics (I never really had an interest to be honest), but they should at least be aware. Being aware, they could make better informed choices. I would hope that we could teach the next generation how to communicate and be better problem solvers for all of the community . . . so they don't have to get to the point of having to protest.

I have never joined any protest and certainly don't plan on doing so now but more power to those who do if they think it can help,
