USAID Was Wasting Millions of Dollars

United States

I can't believe the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) got away with their shenanigans for so long. They wasted millions of US Taxpayers money on stupid things for other countries. For instance: unknown amount to Ecuador to develop workshops for Drag Queens $1.5 million to Serbia to advance diversity equity and inclusion $47,000 for a “transgender opera” in Colombia $6 million to fund tourism in Egypt $2.5 million for electric vehicles for Vietnam And that only scratches the surface. Why shouldn't taxpayer money stay in the United States and go toward things we actually NEED like helping the homeless, feeding the hungry, housing our military veterans, etc. This is the perfect example of a government growing too large and mishandling too much money with nobody guarding the cookie jar. I'm all for a smaller government and more oversight of where the money is going. Don't even get me started on the ridiculous research projects we fund. It's about time the White House Administration took notice of this wasteful government spending and shut it down. Hooray for the Trump Administration!

I agree 100%. The wastefulness that has happened in the past, is hopefully, stopped now. I heard of many other areas where it was being wasted, but my mind isn't allowing me to remember them right now. I do remember the Clinton Foundation making every Clinton rich and not appropriating their money as it was supposed to be done. I shake my head at the greed in the government. Hopefully that will change now.

We're still trying to figure out where that money their foundation was supposed to send to Haiti for disaster relief went. They took in millions in donations and suddenly bought homes and other things as well as took extravagant vacations. These people are all crooked. As for government agencies, they are largely just big money laundering schemes that are used to provide funding for special interests and offer jobs to family and friends, as well to support "covert" funding to certain political interests, countries and causes. Finally, we have someone in the White House who actually cares about the interests of the American people and wants to do something about frivolous spending and the ballooning national debt.

The fact we are becoming publically aware is proof that Trump knew what he was doing when hiring his cabnet. We need people who know what they're doing in terms of money, to be in charge of it. Not someone with a degree in politics, and someone who is more interested in strengthening our bonds with ther counteries.

It upsets me as well that the money the government spent went to other countries instead of helping persons in our nation that was needed like victims of natural disasters.

I would say that at least half of all of these agencies are nothing more than money laundering schemes and "covert" spending. It needs to stop, and luckily we have someone in place who can and will do it.

Taxpayer money should stay in the United States and tackle issues like homelessness and military veterans. You are right.
