Not a bad day at work so that was good, picked up groceries on the way home today and got gas in the car. They are calling for snow tomorrow from 9am-6pm so that means I will be driving home in it. They say 4-6 inches, but we’ll see about that, I did get those things done just in case the snow comes, I will not want to make stops along the way. I will want to just get home. I don’t know about you all but I seen eggs went down about a dollar per dozen. I hope this is a sign the prices will go back down again because they are still way too expensive. I love my egg breakfasts on the weekend, but I haven’t been able to have them for a while because I am not willing to pay $8 a dozen for them. I have been trying to keep that food cost down and not buying all the expensive stuff. I have been addicted to Dr. Pepper for years and drank about 6 cans a day easily but since that is not good for me and expensive I have cut down to 2 cans a day.

Maybe you could find an off brand? I know we get used to certain brands, but many sodas on the generic side are actually very similar and tolerable. Might be a way to still get your fix and save some money too. As for eggs, same here. I love eggs, but I do have a limit as to what I am willing to pay for them. I can live without them if I have to. And even though I can technically afford them doesn't mean I will simply spend for them at any price. Supposed to get snow here too. They are predicting around 4 inches. We'll see.

Yeah, same here just because I can afford them doesn't mean I am just going to throw money out the window. Like you said I can live without them. We have about 2-3 inches and it is still snowing now and they are saying another 3-4 by 11pm so we'll see what we got in the morning.

I suspect the reason eggs are going down is because confused chickens are starting to lay more and lay early, so we have a better slply to help meet demand.

I guess so, I don't know about chickens or their laying habits.

I have had to cut back on drinking soft drinks due to my health issues related to diabetes.

oh yeah, got to be careful with that. I just know it's not good for me and it like everything else is going up in price.

Eggs going down in price is a good sign. I hope it keeps going down back to original or at least near original prices.
