Those side effects are still bothering me

I was given a pain killer that robbed all the saliva in my mouth The mouth was fully dry making swallowing difficult. I gave up taking it just after 3 days but it has done enough havoc I read on the Net that the side effects can last for weeks and that is what I think is happening to me.
I get a dry cough with a choking sensation when I have to rush and drink some water and this keeps repeating in the entire day - I am exhausted.
Doctors should avoid prescribing such disgusting medicines knowing what they can do to their patients.

You just need to hydrate a little more to combat it. Don't wait for the dry feeling.

@allknowing If you're still having fits, step it up a bit.

That sounds absolutely awful! A dry mouth like that can be so uncomfortable, and the constant coughing must be exhausting. It’s frustrating when a medication meant to help ends up causing even more problems. I hope the side effects ease up soon and that you find some relief. Maybe sipping water frequently or using lozenges could help a bit? Hang in there!

Sounds frustrating and tiring experience. Unfortunately, some medications if not all come with some side effects, which sometimes are awful. Sometimes doctors miss out to warn patients about how these side effects could be. Hope the dryness and cough start to come down soon. I know how it feels like .I have also went through some situations when I had sever cold and cough. Drink warm water and stay hydrated. If things do not improve in next few days, it might be better worth reaching to the doctor or if needed visit another specialist. Wish you a speedy recovery. Take care!

I hope you get better and have a good medicine that can take effect quickly. God bless to all of us who are hoping for our health to go back to normal.
