Boss Ignoring Me

My boss who provides me with freelance work and helps me stay financially afloat so I can pay my bills on time is ignoring me. I texted him to ask about any potential work available for the rest of the week and to make sure we are still on for Friday's work, but I haven't heard back from him. I called him twice and texted him several times. He has a day off today like me so that's why I called and texted him at all. It's been two hours. He usually gets back to me immediately because he knows I don't call and text him often. He checks up on me to make sure I'm doing okay too. I hope he is doing okay. He's an older gentleman. I'll wait for him to call back. If he doesn't for the rest of the day, I will call him again tomorrow. Calling my boss two days in a row is a personal record for me because I only call him once a week if at all. He's the one who calls me first and the most often. I hope he isn't sick. In the meantime, I have to run some more errands today. I filed my taxes today so I am relieved to have that out of the way. On to making more progress and being more productive while my chronic pain is letting up today.
