Good afternoon from this side of the planet.
. It's 12:17 as I write this post. I came back from work at 12 and had a warm welcome by my husband with a hot tea
. Well, who does not like that pampering
.
I am not a coffee or tea fan unless I have a good company. So, I take my morning tea because my husband and I have it together and it has become a way for us to spend some couple time together before we start for work
.
Yesterday night my husband had business room planning ( BRP) with his counterparts in the US and he stayed awaked till 3 AM. And that's the reason he was not awake when I left home at 7:45. I slept down in the guest room as his home office is a corner( a wood partition separates it) in our bedroom. I can't sleep with the light on and activities going on in that corner. My younger daughter also stayed awake till 12 to finish her assignment and so, I chose the guest room for better undisturbed sleep
.
I missed the morning tea as he was sleeping and I had no company. When I entered the home after work, he was preparing his tea. It seems that he got up around 11.30. He knew that I have a short working day on Thursday and I will be back home by 12. He called to confirmed and made a cup for me too
.
We sat together for a while before he had to leave with his cup for his another meeting.
. I am enjoying the left tea with mylotting here.
I will be here for few minutes and then get going with another set of chores.
There is a lot of them waiting for me as I couldn't do much in the morning. I didn't want to disturb him with all sounds and movements..He is a very light sleeper.
Hope that everyone is having a good time in their myLot corner.
This is the picture of some blooms I saw in the morning in my school campus..my mood is fresh like them after this refreshing ginger tea. No one makes tea better than my husband

Tea sounds really good right now. I can't make any though. I have no energy tonight.

@arunima25 I went to bed shortly afterwards and woke up about an hour ago to drink chamomile tea. I couldn't swallow it down. I will rest today.

Thank you. I am glad that you liked these flowers. I too got to see them yesterday. I missed them all these days on the campus. Actually yesterday was graduation of Kindergarten and there were many cars of the parents. To ease the traffic on the main gate, teachers and staffs were asked to use the other gate that stays locked on regular days. And these beautiful blooms were there

@grenery8 Yes, very rarely used gate for such occasions. It's spring and we have to enjoy the blooms to the fullest. Soon, they would be gone.

@arunima25 That was a ritual in our household when both of us were working. He would be the one who prepared tea every single day

@allknowing Actually I started drinking tea very late, it became a regular thing during Covid lockdown to let some ginger go in my system with tea. All these years, I would sit with my cup of milk and turmeric, occasionally horlicks and bournvita
. Tea only when I had cold or cough.
Now, I have started making tea and I am now better than him as he says. But still, he makes it on most days.

These flowers caught my attention as soon as I entered the campus. Actually, I had to enter the school today from the other gate as the front gate was accessible to parents only today to manage the crowd and parking issues. Today was the graduation day for kindergarten
I really missed these beauties and was not aware that they were there

Yes, sometimes it is very inconvenient and can cause some trouble for others in the family too. But then it's part and parcel of life and job.
. That tea was badly needed. It energized me to take care of chores

Sounds like a lovely and thoughtful routine. It is amazing how tea can become special bonding for you and your husband. Even if you are missing your morning tea together, your husband cared and made a tea for you once you came back. Small gesture means a lot and makes a big difference. Care in a relation is always special and you are blessed in that respect. Sleeping in the guestroom for a good rest is a kind of smart move – sounds like it was a busy night for your husband and daughter. Hope you could finish your chores quickly and got some time to relax. Morning blooms must be a beautiful sight. Well, enjoy the day!

Yes, if you are married for long years, such rituals play an important role in having those couple times. Yes, we do care for each other and after so many years understand the silence too
I had not noticed these blooms. Yesterday we had to take the other smaller gate to enter the school. The main big gate was for parents and their cars. This was to reduce the traffic there. Yesterday it was graduation for Kindergarten and so all the rush. Well, I was happy to see them. They are so bright and cheerful.
Have a nice weekend

Yes, it's the company that matters. Right? As we grow older in our marriage, such small daily rituals become an important way to stay connected. They become the couple time.
My day has been wonderful and it is almost coming to an end. It's 8:20 PM and in another two hours I will be in my bed snoring.
