A friend in Mylot, namaco21 writes about orange rainfall and "no work no pay". I beg to take the liberty of changing to " no money no work . I believe some Mylot friends know that I'm building a little house for me and my family. Lack of money stalls the work repeatedly. I was aiming to finish the work by May this year. But it looks like it may not so. Quite many major parts of work remain to be done. Plumbing , painting, electrifying are some of them to mention a few. Only virtue I am holding on to is hope. Perhaps by Christmas we can enter the new house , "Griha Pravesh" as it is known. Christmas will be a blessed and happy time to do the house warming, won't it be so? Please say a prayer for me dear friends. Both me and my wife will have to retire from our job this year and we will have to leave the house, we have lived in for the last twenty years

All the best..I know how difficult it is to build your own house these days. I am blessed that I am living in my parental house. My father bought a property for us.

@franxav Yes, that's true. Being a Tennant is always a curse. You cannot have a freedom in a rented house

So glad to know. It's a blessing of God to have parents who are well off enough to buy a house of their own. Someone said to me some days ago, living in your own house is a joy indescribable.

When you build a house one can never estimate or make a budget. When we were buildking our house the Engineer gave us an estimate and at the end we spent double the amount

Building a house isn't an easy job. We have made our own house, so I know the pain. Wishing you could complete it by May.

It is a big journey. I definitely admire your patience and hope things get through in time. I do recollect you mentioning about building the home in your previous discussions. However, building a home is never easy. It it’s a test of patience and finance and everything else. I can understand the challenges from finance perspective. Especially with both of you looking to be retiring soon, there are other things to take care. I myself unable to manage my life with my current debts and financial challenges alongwith inflation. Can understand what all things would be going through your mind. But with your determination you should win. Griha Privesh by end of year looks meaningful and could be a new chapter in your life. My best wishes and prayers for everything to come together for you and family. Stay strong and with grace of God -good things could be on their way!

At least you are building your own house. There is a sense of freedom in that. Savor it.

With proper planning and conviction anything is possible. Without it, you might just be against a brick wall. lol My best advice is always, if you are waiting for something to happen, it won't happen. Things only happen through action. Onward and upward and best of luck to you.
