Lethal Weapon (part 1) and, yes, we are too old for that stuff:)

Watched it the other day. I watched it several years before and before that, when i was a kid. 1987 action movie with Mel Gibson and Danny Glover. I like Gibson in this era. And in the last scenes of this movie, i must say, he was in really good shape. I mean, running barefoot and wrestling with bad guys. Also, other action scenes. What i didn't notice before or i thought before was goofy, which wasn't and isn't at all is that Gibson's character is suicidal and he likes to be on edge. He suffers because he lost his wife but we don't find out how. Very sad but true portrayal. Cause of his state, he gets a new partner, portrayed by Glover. They are like yin and yang and though Glover's character's daughter is kidnapped, they succeed in catching bad guys. Yes, one is shot and other bruised but they did it in the end and they form a true friendship. Reminds me of Casablanca movie with a friendship note but in a harsher way And the main message of the movie is I'm too old for that stuff (some other word but, you know what i mean) Did you watch it, any nostalgic souls out here?

I watched it with friends when it first came out and enjoyed it. If it hadn't been for friends insisting we watch it, it isn't my kind of movie. *shrug*

@DaddyEvil comedies are a great genre but it needs to be really fun. what's wrong about being child-like?

I remember seeing the first Lethal Weapon movie as well as the sequels. Mel did do a good impression of the Three Stooges mannerisms/

@grenery8 Many documentaries mention that Mel is a huge fan of the comedians.
