The Center for Creative Leadership says that the twelve characteristics that the best leaders consistently possess are: Self-Awareness Respect Compassion Vision Communication Learning Agility Collaboration Influence Integrity Courage Gratitude Resilience It goes without saying that morals and family values should also be present. I think that our present one has perhaps four on a good day. I think that one of the biggest ones he lacks is the art of dealing with people in a sensitive and effective way. Is Guaconoma Bay compassionate? I have never seen him show gratitude. I don't think he has a courageous bone in his body. His vision is crazed and self-involved, not with the people in mind at all. He doesn't look to the people but to just get the job done. It might get the job done but how many people and programs need to be scrapped to do it? The difference between a leader and an authoritarian is huge. I was thinking about the difference between Jimmy Carter and Donald Trump today. Two more polar opposites I don't think you'll find.
