Isle Of Wight County Animal Services Officer Jessica Brock was on her way home from her work on Wednesday February 5 when she asked to help a man who drove a truck which hit an owl who was stuck on the front grill.
Jessica offered her neighbor who also asked her to remove the owl from the front grill of his truck by remove the owl safely and take the owl to the Nature's Nanny Wildlife Rehabilitation to take care of the injured owl.
Hopefully the owl will make a full recovery from injuries suffered in the accident.

As soon as the owl recovers from his injuries, he will be released to the wild.

I am sure that the owl flew into the front grill of the truck since it might have been dark on the road,

Every time I hear about one of these incidents, it floors me, because it happens more often than one might think. And the ONLY way the bird gets stuck there is if the car is in motion, usually at high speeds, and the fact that a bird can take a face plant into a vehicle's grill at 40+ MPH and survive...
Is remarkable.

It's a wonder the owl wasn't 'owling with pain, as that would be a nasty experience for it, and it was good it was rescued, and will be taken care of.

I am in agreement with you that the owl was not yelling in pain after the accident with the truck.
