Trump made an appearance at the Daytona 500 race today. By appearance I mean Air Force One did a couple of laps around the stadium and then he took a ride in "The Beast" around the track. Then he left. $25,000 in airplane fuel alone to get him from Palm Beach to Daytona along with all of the associated costs for Secret Service, etc. He literally didn't even stay for the race. What the hell was the point of him showing up? What was "efficient" about that stunt? (narrator: nothing) What a hypocrite and those who think it was great he showed up there are hypocrites too.

I'm glad he didn't know where is lived but I think I heard him. This afternoon there was a very loud airplane noise and it sounded like a plane about to land on the house. Had to be the Trump, Could of at least dropped down a sack of dough.

There is no way on God's green earth that Trump works hard. He's already played golf 3 days this week while he and Elon try to burn the country down.

Why am I not surprised you'd say that. You should've actually watched the race. You may be surprised at what actually happened. Oh, wait. Let's complain about Trump, shouldn't we?

@NJChicaa First of all, had you gotten all your facts, he'd orginally planned to stay for one third of the race. Second, if you live here as I do, you would know, staying for the entire thing would've been a diaster because it's a madhouse trying to leave the track. Oh, and third, we had a three-hour rain delay, and the race didn't end up ending until almost 10 o'clock last night.

@kaylachan He never was going to stay. He knows even less about car races than he does about football. It was all a PR stunt. Of course he could have gotten out in a timely manner as POTUS. He had no interest in the race or staying.

why would I watch a race that I don't care about that Trump didn't even stay to watch? Millions of dollars wasted for a PR appearance.

He is being visible, transparent, and speaking directly to the American people involving himself with American culture. Sure, it may cost a bit, but I don't see anything wrong with it. Biden couldn't even go to a freaking disaster for Heaven's sake.

@porwest I’m pretty sure the president has a busy schedule. . . Unless you’re Trump. Then there’s plenty of time for golf and publicity stunts

@NJChicaa DAYS after, and ONLY after he was criticized because Trump went to Helene ravaged areas BEFORE Biden did. Nice try.
