Sad That You Can't Even Believe Reviews Anymore

Several years ago I was friends with a gal who wrote articles online. She and I made a lot of money for a while doing this. She came to me one day with information about a new job she was going to be doing. She was sharing the info with me in case I wanted to do it too. It was where a client would have us go into their reviews and do fake ones. I was so shocked. Of course, I didn't do it.
I used to rely on reviews of products a lot. Now, not so much. Can you believe it? It doesn't matter what it is nowadays you can find a scam.

I used to earn decent $$ on Epinions.com back in the day. Some of the people here were members there too. I would write detailed reviews of anything from my new car to a counter cleaner or a shampoo. There was someone who used to be here who would get samples to test and then sell them saying "I know how body wash works". I was horrified. I'd never review something I never used at least once. That's why I tend not to trust online reviews. People can write anything without actually even using the item.

I have been on several sites down through the years. I think it is fun to research a subject and then write about it.
