Got Some Sun!

At last! The other day I managed to get out for a walk as I didn't want to miss the chance.
Except for some evergreen grass here and there, the landscape is still pretty bare.
Fields are empty, no white crap except maybe up on the mountains far away.
No interesting critters, mostly the usual magpies. Seen lots of magpies the last few weeks.
Yet the big hot ball was up there, shining brighter than ever, and that's all I could ask for.
A few other people were out enjoying the sunshine too, strolling nearby.
Today it's cloudy so I didn't repeat the experience, I popped out to throw away some stuff and that was it.
There's always plenty to do at home anyway, like reading what everyone has been up to here!
As long as the site is up and running, of course...

@jstory07 That's great! I've definitely used the "store excuse" before to get myself out of home, but then I'd spend too much money so I need more excuses.

I would like to see that same photo again when it has more color this Spring, please. It's beautiful even in Winter, though. You live in a very nice area!
We're still well below freezing here (28F/-2C) so I don't go outside except to get the mail from the mailbox on our front porch. That only takes a couple of steps and I don't even do that if there's snow on the porch.
It's sunny here but a strong wind is blowing and makes it feel even colder.
I'm just folding clean clothes and putting them away right now. I've been reading a book on my phone since I woke up a little while ago.

@DaddyEvil Like a very long timelapse thing? I love such idea, I just gotta remember.
That's really cold, we might hit that temp very early in the morning at worst... and I'm usually asleep. I don't leave the bedroom window open at night anymore. 
When I went walking it was a bit windy but luckily not too much, but I know what you mean. It would have been a major disappointment if the wind was to be strong!

@somewitch I actually just meant a picture once Spring puts more color into the area but a time-lapse sounds good, too.
We're getting more of the Artic vortex now. The temp is 9F/13C. But by Sunday we'll be warm again here. (50F/10C). If it wasn't winter here I'd be wearing jean shorts, tank top and sandals at that temp.
We're still getting strong winds here. Some limbs came down just before the snow storm began. I'll have to clean those up after it gets warmer outside.
It's still too cold here to go walking. I've been pacing back and forth across the kitchen for exercise.

@DaddyEvil Yes, a spring picture is just the beginning of a very long time-lapse! 
It makes me want to take more in summer, fall, and maybe different weather conditions too. Different times of the day would also be nice but going there when it's dark could be risky. Unless I drive but who knows when I'll be able to.
10 C is still quite cold for me, it might be the high humidity, dunno.
Sorry the wind is giving you extra work on top of not allowing you to go walking. 
I've also been walking in the kitchen and living room, lately more daring than usual as I'd browse myLot while walking. Just trying to be more productive.

It was fine for quite a while until the error 503 showed up yesterday Yes. It will always come back.

I just looked up the internet on pictures of magpies. I haven't seen one here but it looks like a crow with white blotches .

@Dreamerby And a very long tail! They look awkward when they walk because of it. And yes, they're black and white, the black feathers however have a blue/green iridescence which shows up in sunlight. I think they're beautiful.

you'ree right about that, when the site is running. i struggled another afternoon to access it. i'm glad you had a sunny day and hearing little birdies. we had very cloudy day. i saw on saturday snow in the hills far away in the distance but i would prefer sun too, need it actually

@grenery8 Any luck with the sun this week? Forecast says we won't get any here, but at least it is not too cold. I might still go for a walk as long as it doesn't rain and my schedule allows it.

@RasmaSandra Thank you! Sunny days have been rare this month, I wish there were more so there would be less this summer because I tolerate the heat way less than the cold.
