I hope there isn't too much glare so that the painting in my photo shows. I found it in one of the antique shops in my downtown. I don't know who painted the portrayal of what appears to be an English street in past times. Can you see that there is a lady pulling a flower cart? I am a huge fan of landscapes that pull me into another world.
This weekend hubby and I have been clearing our interior decks. I am enjoying that we got the heat pump working well enough that I felt warm enough to tuck away space heaters into back rooms. I bought a little plastic roll away drawer set that fit easily into the bottom closet. I tucked items that had been on a cabinet into the drawers, tidying the cabinet top.
I hope snow is leaving those who have it. My world appears to have rain included on every day for the next two weeks. I heard the word "floods!" in the locker room this morning. (Yes its Monday and yes I got out to the pool first thing.) Anyway, stay warm and hopefully dry.

@lillacskies Thanks. You'd have a ton of fun in my downtown. There is a couple blocks of antique stores to get lost in.

@sallypup You are welcome. I can spend an entire day in antique stores and not even realize that a day just flew by. There are so many things you can find there. I love them! I love anywhere with treasures.

@lilacskies Me, too.Antique stores are like museums. There's one store here that is a combo: junk store and antique store. I love that place

Yes, the glare isn't too bad on the picture you've posted. And yes, I can see the lady with the hand cart. It's a nice picture.
Most of the snow we got over the last two days is already gone here. The prediction is that we'll get another 10 inches over the next 48 hours. I hope not. (I don't know why the snow melted off so quickly this time around. It normally sticks around a lot longer than this.) We're still at 28F with a cold wind blowing outside.
My brother took us to the laundromat two days ago and we're still drying laundry. I folded and put away towels and wash cloths this morning and now, I'm folding my small clothes and hanging shirts and jeans in the closet. Pretty still needs to dry and put away her clothes.
I'm glad your house is warm enough for you now.

@sallypup He's really good about taking us places when our car is having problems.
We bought a new dryer six or seven years ago but the washer is older. The agitator stopped spinning. I know that could be a broken or loose belt but I'm not a repair person so we're waiting until we can afford to hire one to come take a look.
Thanks. It's still too cold for us to want to go outside, even without the snow.

@DaddyEvil I'm for sure not one to talk about repairing machines. My used washer just left lint crud on my bed sheets. Grrrrr. I am rewashing the sheet that is the worst and hoping to get better results.

@DaddyEvil That's great that your brother pitched in and helped out. We never got around to spending bucks on a dryer. We're still at the drying rack stage. I'm glad your snow went away.

Are you by chance a Thomas Kinkade fan? How wonderful it would be to live in a time/place like that!
I want an interior deck! I was looking at our back porch this morning . . . tsk tsk that so much needs to be cleared and reorganized (and redone!).
Hopefully you stay warm and dry out there. Apparently the rains are gone here . . . it already feels almost too warm. There's so much to do in the yard and I just know I won't get to it all
.

@much2say My daughter sent me a large Gurney art book for my birthday. Glorious. It is a textbook- showing how different aspects of painting are achieved. I am known for being capable of drawing only stick figures. The Gurney book has me being braver- I actually drew bubblegums in a bubblegum machine that look like a cross between marshmallows and bubblegums. Hilarious and yet a far cry from what I have achieved in the past.

This is a unique kind of painting that tells a story

@sallypup This could be a good investment too if the painter has made strides and is now recognised.

@allknowing You're right. I believe the painter is a classical master. On the back somebody wrote in pencil a 1905 date.

@allknowing I agree and thanks. I like paintings that tell a story. That looks like a hand cart that the flowers are in, not a horse drawn cart.

It's lovely.
Very cold here and will be for several days. Then we might start getting rid of this white crap

I do love that landscape, So much to look at. Our weather is a bit cooler again but mostly sunny.
