Amazon Seller Ignoring Me

I bought a pair of black pointy toe pumps from an Amazon third party seller a week ago for my upcoming job interview for a full-time position, but the seller still hasn't shipped my order. I only buy from Amazon when a particular product is unavailable in other stores and websites. Therefore, I bought this pair of pumps because it had good reviews, it was sold out at other stores, it had my size available, and I owned a pair in the past and had to throw them out when they were too worn and one of the heels broke off on the job.
So I got frustrated and contacted the seller on Friday. Never heard back. Tried again this morning half an hour after I woke up to see what's going on. Never heard back again. I am trying to cancel the order, but I don't know if the seller will cancel the order. However, the good news is that Amazon cancels an order if the seller doesn't cancel/ship the order. The bad news is this can take a month.
This is why I have a hate relationship with Amazon. I only use it for work related and necessity related reasons. I should just buy my work pumps elsewhere. I need a pair to replace my old pair that are long gone.

I've never had a problem with Amazon sellers but I only buy books there. Pretty buys other things but hasn't had a problem that she's mentioned to me.

You are very lucky. I usually have an okay experience until this order. What does your daughter buy on Amazon? Me too. I haven't heard back from the seller yet. Thank you!

@lilacskies I never know... I don't ask... She has a box from Amazon sitting in the living room that I just brought in from the front porch.

@DaddyEvil You two live together, correct? How old is your daughter? I am waiting patiently to hear back from the seller, but I don't think this order is going to work out. I need to shop around and make a new purchase.

I sure hope you can get things figured out. Sorry you are having these problems I have never encountered any with Amazon.

@lilacskies when I place an order I look to see where it is coming from, Usually that has been from Amazon. I know that sometimes to get something cheaper it is good to order from a third party but I guess if there is this kind of trouble it is best to get something straight from Amazon

@RasmaSandra I have never actually purchased directly from Amazon before. I always use the third party sellers since they are cheaper and I don't have Amazon prime so I don't have to spend $35 to qualify for free shipping when third party sellers ship for free regardless of the price.

Thank you. This seller has been unresponsive since I made the order. This is the first time this occurred. Do you purchase from third party sellers or straight from Amazon who ships from a warehouse? I'm trying to get this sorted out.

You are right. I buy from them since they have the products I look for that aren't sold elsewhere due to being sold out.

You might have to go through Amazon, but honestly, you need to give yurself more time when buying anything online.

Yes, in the meantime, I'm waiting to wear back from the seller just in case and then I will contact Amazon.

@Tampa_girl7 That's okay. I dealt with some more Amazon sellers and have given up. I will go to a shoe store today.
