To all coffee drinkers....

I am allowed to drink one cup of coffee a day, so I'm no expert on the subject. But my husband drinks a pot or two a day. He is, what I would call, an expert. He always preferred Community coffee, but recently we noticed that it had gone up in price, like everything else. It was $19.98 for a 46oz bag at Sam's Club. So I looked around a bit and found that Sam's brand, Maker's Mark was, $6.21 for a 40oz bag. I bought it and made him a pot of coffee with it. He noticed a difference, but said it wasn't a bad difference. I told him what I did and he said, with that much savings, he had no problem drinking a cheaper brand. I couldn't believe the difference in price and thought it was a sale price, but it's their regular price for that coffee. I plan on buying a bag every time I go in there so I can stock pile it because it is going to go up. I have a freezer that I can store it in and will do so for as much as it will hold, it's good for the freezer to be full and for us to have a good supply of coffee on hand. It will get used. I mainly drink herbal teas. I haven't found a cheap version of those yet. If you know of any let me know! ~Peace

I don't drink coffee unless it's offered and I drink it instead of turning it down out of politeness. I only drink green tea and chamomile tea.

Green tea falls under the one cup rule for me, unless it is decaf. I'm allowed one cup of caffeine a day due to my bladder disease. But I have some decaf green tea. I don't care for Chamomile, I don't know why, but I just don't.

@trbr22 At least you have decaf green tea so that's good!

@lilacskies I agree. I get to enjoy the goodness of what green tea has to offer.

Yes I agree, but he loves his coffee and it has properties in it that are good for you.

Sometimes the store's own brand products will be less expensive. Every morning I took a cup of capsule coffee and that's not much. Especially I tend to buy them when it is on sale. In weekend I like to use a fresh lemon and tea to make a pot of lemon tea. I think it's already a cheap version and it is also healthy

I love lemon but it is too acidic for my bladder so I have to avoid it along with most acidic foods. It’s hard but it is easier than the pain it causes me.

I would have though Sams Club would have cheap herbal teas..I know Walmart has the best prices for those that I have found. Coffee is dang expensive...I am going to also switch..it's definitely too much.

oh yes, it is crazy sometimes when you see the price and yet with another less price you will get almost the same taste

When it comes to coffee for me, I might notice a slight difference from one brand to another, but to me it's all just coffee, so I will tend to go the cheapest route I possibly can. I'll drink Beaumont, Great Value, pretty much whatever.
