I am. I am not ashamed to share with you that there were times I hated myself for being dumb. But to be honest, it was not intentional. It's the usual result for being impulsive without thinking the effects of doing it. It's a shame for not being cautious and keen. It does not mean that because I'm human I have no control of my action.
Well, sorry I cannot dispose what I've committed that made me feel dumb. Have you experienced it too

I think everyone has dumb moments on occasion. It's just being human.

that's a normal thing to ease a burden and look for some alternative solutions.

You are definitely not alone in thinking that way. We all had our moments where we look back and cringe at our decisions. I had my moments and I would later think how can I be so dumb after all. It is easy to be hard on one’s self, but then learning from experiencing and growing from those is important. Being impulsive is perhaps animal nature and sometimes mistakes help us to get wiser, better and more self-aware people. Over a period of time , I have realized self-compassion is also important as self-reflection. You have done your part and it was good and there it ends. Enjoy the time!

@RevivedWarrior, when I am alone I also ponder that way why being dumb at a particular moment, it's shameful but, I agree that it makes us strong mentally and becomes smarter too.

I had never felt I'm dumb; but since when I was 5 till when I cleared graduation; I had been a stammerer. The speech defect was so intense that I could not answer my roll call in the class. I would request my friends to answer it on my behalf. It took me years to overcome my speech defect.

@Shivram59 oh sorry to hear about your problem however, I am also happy that you were able to overcome your speech defect. Did your mom consult it to a speech therapist?

@cacay1 No. I overcame it with my own efforts. It took me years; about 3-4 years to be,able to speak fluently. Now,I'm able to even deliver public speeches.

Yes! As you said, it means I'm human.
Thankfully I've learned to be more forgiving towards myself with time, which includes caring less about what others think too.
