Infuriating ...Rental Adventures

Went to look at another place yesterday, talked to the agent on the phone beforehand.
Went there paid an Uber there and back and waste of money I don't have!
So furious.
Went there and it was not the person I spoke with on the phone and he had no keys to get in.
I says, What is this a joke?
Then another agent called and started rambling at me, of course I was not in the mood and told them I wouldn't rent that place if YOU paid me to and told her to tell them they need to get their shite together.
Needless to say, I was furious for a good hour or so when I got home, but I didn't let that deter me and picked up momentum right away and went to look at another place.
More Uber cash but at least I got in to see this place though the manager was having trouble getting in the lock box..Oh hell no, I thought to myself, but she finally got it open and let me in.
So I applied for this one as it was clean..unusual for rentals around here. But it was clean number one.
So let's see how long this application takes.
I was able to get out of this lease in the dump we are in right now due to warranty of habitability law.
Not without a fight though.
My son in the ER again due to toxins and smoke coming in here.
Gravely ill...breathing and lung collapse.
I hope we can last now to be able to move.
Money for movers, deposits, admin fees in the thousands of dollars.
Has to be urgently done though, matter of sheer survival so my son can breath.
How do I do it? I don't know.

I'm so sorry to hear about your son and of course all your own breathing issues. I hope he recovers quickly and you both can move into a cleaner place. My prayers for you my friend

May your son heal and that his health/breathing improves. Let's get you both outta there . . . I truly hope it all works out so you could be at this better, much cleaner place. Amazing - the strength of a mother - you jump over many hurdles and keep on going .

So sorry you are having to house hunt in this weather, but I am glad you could break that lease. It sounds deadly. Good luck on the new place.

That is exhausting and definitely frustrating experience. It can understand why you are furious. When people waste your time and money, especially in the urgent situation you are in , it is natural to be agonized. I do admire your resilience in spite of all these setbacks to keep pushing forward and finally found a place which looks promising. Hope the application goes through fats and smooth for you. It is also heartbreaking to see what your son is ging through and hope both of you get relief. Wishing you both strength and resilience . Take care!
