Science Night Tonight

Hello everyone, how are you all doing? Tonight is science night at Eli' school. There are a bunch of exhibits doing different science things. The 5th grade (Eli's grade) had to even do a project that will be displayed in the library. He chose to do Elephant Toothpaste. There was an estimate of 1000+ people showing up to the event. So that should be "fun". Probably fun for the kids yes. I dread all the walking. They are even having a silent auction I guess. I'll try to share about it later on, if anyone is interested. Photo is mine - Eli after he got a haircut in the fall.

I love Elephant Toothpaste as an experiment! It’s such a fun thing to see. Do you remember that old show, Mythbusters? They did an experiment with it that was exceptionally large, and would have delighted kids. I hope Eli has fun tonight.

He's not the only 5th grader that chose that for a project...so I can tell it was popular. I have seen a bit of that show in the past, but not much. That's interesting they did that on a larger scale....sounds messy lol. Not sure Eli had much fun, too many people! Although he had fun seeing all the girls. Didn't see the girl that has a crush on him though!

Um, what is elephant toothpaste? I hope it is not made from the tusks of rare African or Indian elephants.

It's some sort or reaction when you mix hydrogen, dish soap, and yeast. But I don't know why it is called what it is called.

@MommyOfEli2013 What happens when you mix hydrogen, dish soap and yeast? I don't think I've ever tried that.

I am doing okay today working at home completing surveys and sharing good news stories. I am interested in the events of the silent auction this evening.
