Did you all hear me cursing?

Some time down the road I will laugh about today. Right now I am just glad I did not yell loud enough that the next county folks could hear me.
I got up this morning feeling like messing with yeast dough. Time to warm up a tablespoon of yeast and make a little batch of dough. Fine. The mornng went along pretty much good enough.
I made some cute little loaves of bread and put them on the cart by the kitchen window to cool then headed into the living room to listen to a book. Yup. Heard a noise. Ms. Moxe dog does not yet quite understand that this house frowns on dogs standing up to counters so that she can knock loaves of bread onto the floor.
She raced upstairs with her prize in her mouth. Like I said, I was not quiet as I stopped everything and raced after her. The bread had a bite out of it. But was intact otherwise. Throw it away? An entire adorable loaf of bread or bake it a little more and ignore the bite?
That's a question to make your brain cells spin.

I don't think you could bake it enough to make it no longer toxic. But, well that sounds like what my sister did when Precious stole a turkey and tried to hide it under my bed.

@sallypup That cat was real food orinated. One of the final pictures I have of him, was him trying to steal my chicken nuggets the day I brought him home from the vet.

@kaylachan One of my dogs refused to eat chicken nuggets. I agreed with her- those gizmos are almost as fake as hot dogs.

I hope bread is safe to eat for dogs. If not, it is best to not let her eat anymore and get her checked out.

No spinning brain cells here. I'd either let her eat the rest of the loaf or the trash can would get a loaf of bread.

If it is permitted for her to eat, I will let her eat a bit more. Keep the rest for her treat later. I will not eat myself or feed anyone else.

If your pet is used to eating bread I recommend you give it to her - not the whole bread but in pieces I would not eat it myself

@wolfgirl569 I'm with you on that. Imagine if the bread hadn't been baked! What a mess.

@sallypup It would have been. And could be dangerous for her.

Well Moxie didn't realize the trouble she would cause. I suggest do the best to clean it up and use that loaf,

Moxe dog is smart, she knows what good food is! Plus with the ability to counter surf...it was just hard to resist, Mom. I am honestly such a pushover that I probably would have let her have half of it and the rest of it another day...
I had a dog that LOVED blueberry muffins. She absolutely knew if they were blueberry or not, and she would plant her little bottom as close to the stove as she could get, and stare at me, and wait, No muffin? She stared harder. Still no muffin? The paw nudge...and the big eyes. I could never say no to her precious little self, she always got her muffin. Oh, and it had to have some butter on it. Mama didn't raise no 'fool!

Our fur children are sometimes quite the pests. I would probably cut off the part that had the bite, plus a little margin, to be sure.
