I like to take some time online to study Latin American countries. Peru, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay are just but the few whose interest has taken much of me. Lately I learnt that Chile has one of the longest coastal strips globally. This makes me think it could be doing great in terms of beach tourism. I would like to know if it is the case. And who among us is from Chile?

Sounds like a fascinating area of study! You are right in pointing out Chile does have one of the longest coastlines in the world. It stretches alongwith the Pacific Ocean and known for the stunning beaches especially like La Serena and Vina del Mar. Beach Tourism is definitely part of Chile’s economy. There is good contribution to its GDP from tourism, although the country is known more for its diverse landscapes. Beach tourism is definitely a part of its economy, though the country is more famous for its diverse landscapes, from the Atacama Desert to Patagonia

Chile is a very long, narrow country. I'm not sure if it has a lot of beaches or if most of the coastline is rugged.
