Science Night 2025

Hello everyone, how are you all doing? Thought I would share a bit about science night. Unfortunately, we did not get to see too much science stuff. The whole school was packed. The gym and cafeteria were stuffed full of people. The halls were filled too. It was crazy. Eli didn't even get to see any live animals because there were so many people. We did get to see his science project, as you can see he's standing in front of in the photo. His elephant toothpaste was pretty much gone since he done it too far ahead of time. He should have done it just before science night began for it to look like the real thing. But he did well with the project itself. We tried to look at the silent auction after, but again too many people. For me it was panic attack central. I think Eli was having issues too because he didn't know what to do. At the end we did buy some world's finest chocolate bars at the office - so that made it worth it lol. Have any of you ever had those? The company has been around for almost 100 years I believe. I remember selling them for fundraisers when I was in school. Anyways - so unfortunately his last elementary science night was kind of a bust. I wonder if they'll do something like that in middle school. Guess we'll see next year!

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen those types of candy bars. Our school sells different candy bars made by a company about 1 1/2 hour's from us. Everywhere in town sells them as fundraisers. I’m sorry his elephant toothpaste looked so different at the showing of his project but it looks like he did a nice job with the poster. Too bad it was so busy.

@MommyOfEli2013 ours for years and years were $1 too. About a year ago they went up $1.50 and probably 6 months ago they went up to $2. I still buy them because they are so good and so well loved by everyone I buy them for but I hate the price increase. Everything has gone up though in cost so this shouldn’t be such a surprise I guess.

@shaggin Well $2 still is not too bad....unless they are tiny bars perhaps. Everyone loves the bars here too.... Yes, everything has gone up in price/cost sadly...

What is nice, that even all these years later they are still only $1 per bar. Now they have other options that cost more of course, but they still have the bars for $1. Sounds like they have a similar there, just from a closer place - that is cool. Well the toothpaste doesn't last long, maybe 10 minutes lol. In the photo you can see a little blue liquid at the bottom of the cup...it should be a big foamy thing, overflowing the cup. He did well, hopefully he got a good grade on it.
