I got my test result from Ontario Health in today's mail... Once again, my poop passed the test and the result is normal. But the thing with this test is, it wouldn't have predicted my diverticulosis, or any polyps for that matter. And dammit! I just looked out the window and it's snowing again.

That’s good news on the stool sample to rule some things out. Will you have further tests done? Snowing on our travels today been in the car 13 1/3 hours and still estimates an hour until our hotel.

I'm not sure what my doctor will have to say about when I see her next month.

How exactly do you take a poop test? I've never had one before. Do you have to visit the hospital for it or do you get a box and you send your poop?

I explained it here, the first time I did it:
What is? My FIT sample. What's that? Fecal Immunochemical Test. Yeah. I used to call this the scratch and sniff test, because you had to smear three different...

I’m glad to hear your test came back “clean”, but I wish they could be more accurate when it comes to polyps. The important thing is, nothing bad came from it.

Congrats on your passing grade. I will gladly take this test over a colonoscopy any day, that is just too hard on a person's body, although if you have a family history of colon cancer. We did not have snow today, yet......but the day isn't over either. Next week we may be into positive temperatures. Dare we dream?

But I think a colonoscopy would have turned up the abcess and saved me a week of pain. It was trying to snow here about 6pm.

@BarBaraPrz That's usually - well, mostly - the big worry.

They have so many tests, and none are comprehensive. Sigh. We are at 38C ...so you know I don't believe you are on planet earth for sure. Evil Grin.

Nice to know that your poop test results were normal since I had sent to a lab a few months ago with the results coming back inconclusive but I am healthy.
