Mylotter friends, I have an update on the Social Security situation. Well, my phone interview was this afternoon with an SS agent. I've waited a full half-hour or so for him to call. He wasn't on time. So I called SSA for a call back, he called me from another number. But he kept on hanging on me. I called SSA from another number.It tunred out, that agent had phone trouble. And when I talked to the other agent, she tried to transfer me to his line. It wouldn't pick up. They need a new phone line. And she hung up on me. When I got through, I managed to talk to her. Instead of having to reschedule a phone interview that I didn't need to have, since I applied for benefits in October, she looked over my file, and told me it looked fine. I told her about the months of misinformation, like I was supposed to have my benefits last month. But she's going to talk to the agent I talked to in October, and get this mess cleared up. So hopefully, fingers crossed, I would get a letter in the mail, two weeks from here, on my dad's survivor benefits. If so, I'll be on my mother's next weekend for the last time, coincidentally near her 11-year anniversary when she passed away. And I'll get my father's probably in April. As for Goodwill, I'll be there for another month before I can quit, unless and until I get an job offer before then, and reevaluated with an updated benefits analysis, on if I can work or not with the new money. Last week, I received a notice in the mail, two weeks after I received a letter from JFS and Medicaid about my monthly premium payments, it'll be ending next weekend., due to being over-resourced. This was what my late father and my brother had both feared and worried about last year. And now it had come to fruition. So I've let my brother know. I've appealed their decision. But I might have to quit sooner than planned, though I won't hear back on their decision until May 25th, according to the Medicaid agent I talked to. So the hits keep on coming for me....
