I´m worried about Pope Francis.

I am not a religious person. But there are always people that we specially like or respect. Pope Francis is one of my heroes.
He is very ill now. Even he is saying that he might not make it now. I can understand that. He is old, has worked a lot and does not have a very good health.
I only wish that whatever he has done to modernise the Catholic church does not return to the middle age once he is dead.
I have had other heroes in my life. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is also very close to my heart.

@rakski I knew that he had had lung problems since he was young. And he does not spare himself. He works a lot.

I was not aware that he is will. I too admired how he made us people less devout less guilty

I don´t believe in guilt. But I have always admired the respect that he has had always for every human being. That is what religions need.

I’m certainly praying for his health as well. We have fewer and fewer moral compasses in the world.

I did say this in another discussion, but...it still bothers me that I saw several articles from different sources saying things like ''who will succeed Pope Francis?'' and contemplating just who it would be. Seriously, let the poor man either get better for one last hurrah, or wait until he has passed on to his reward before blabbing about who will take over the position. I found that in very poor taste.

The thing is that Pope Francis is not only a wonderful human being but also has a great position. Just think all the years that people talked about who would succeed Queen Elizabeth II.

Oh, they did talk about her. But in retrospect, her reign was over 70 years! And she was 92 years old. At that age, people do go down quickly when they get ill.
And I do admire Pope Francis. He brought a lot of positivity to the role he fills.

With the Lord being his best friend all things will progress as they are meant to. I have put in a prayer for him myself.
