Ada County District Judge Steven Hippler would have none of Kohberger's defense teams try to find fault with the proceedings. They wanted to suppress a variety of evidence but Deputy Attorney Jeff Nye argued sufficiently to have it all left in. The defense team also alleged that Moscow city police made false statements in their investigation which the judge found invalid.
Kohberger's defense team seems to be very determined but is not getting any ground so far. The judge said that their trying to suppress evidence obtained from Kohberger's cell phone records, Amazon Google, and Apple iCloud accounts amounted to "technical errors" and did not justify being suppressed. The judge also denied the defense's efforts to exclude statements Kohberger made at the time of the arrest. He had not been read his Miranda rights yet.
The trial is set for this summer with jury selection beginning on July 30. He will appear again before the judge on April 9. He was first arrested in December 2022 after the murders of four Idaho college students in November 2022.

It appears that Kohberger's defense attorneys are going to have a very hard time trying to prove that their client is innocent.

Very small chance they are successful. Not many people are out that late doing anything positive.
