I'm Sure Glad That I Don't Pay Taxes Anymore

With tax time just around the corner, it seems strange that there have been about 9,000 IRS employees let go recently. Alan Butler, a lawyer and executive director of the Electronic Privacy Infomation Center warned recently, "Tax return information is among the most protected data in federal law.....Even the President does not have the ability to broadly authorize access to tax return information." The code restrictions were amped up after Nixon was caught using tax records to target political opponents. The big concern is DOGE's potential access to tax return information, strictly protected under the Internal Revenue Codes Section 6103. Does DOGE's operatives have access to this highly critical financial information?
