To keep or to throw?

I’ve been helping my sister-in-law empty out her junk room and, in the photo, you can see a corkscrew which she doesn’t want. It’s made of iron and fits very nicely in the hand. It would make quite a handy weapon if you were attacked. You might be able to make out the ram’s head on the right of the corkscrew. I don’t quite know what to do with it. I can’t imagine a charity shop would accept it. It’s too much like a weapon. It’s a nice object in its way and nicely made but what can I do with it?

It looks nicely made and, I believe I'd take @snowy22315 's suggestion and see if an antique dealer would buy it from you.

Here's a thought use it as a corkscrew. If you don't want it maybe have it evaluated by an antique store. Nobody makes things like that anymore.

It could be an antique, it might fetch a nice price if someone collects stuff like that.

I would let it go, or next you will have a junk room too.

That is a very solid corkscrew, I'll keep it just in case.

That's a tough one, I love old things so I hate to throw things like that away. I guess it depends how much time you want to invest in it. Maybe a friend could use it?

See if it’s of any value. You never know.

Like I see mentioned go to an antique store or museum. They might want it
