The sun is shining, and it is to get up around 40 F today. Melting away the white mess, I hope. I have a breakfast casserole calling me. It is in the oven finishing off. I did a layer of diced potatoes with peppers and onions and held that all together with eggs, milk and cheese. Once it was done I have added sausage gravy to the top and put it back into the oven that I have turned off. The only reason I did that is the gravy is cold, I made it a couple of days ago. At the store I was picking up some Folgers coffee on sale. They had an item called a Mardis Gras blend. The label says it has hints of cocoa and caramel. I am excited to try it. That will be later today. I am hungry and ready to go eat. How about you?

That sounds delicious! I had cereal for breakfast. It has been awhile since I've had it and it tasted really good I think we are to be in the mid 40's today..Heatwave compared to what we have been having

Currently eating an undertoasted bagel... should have popped it back down, I guess. Anyway, it IS sunny, -2°C, may get up another degree but there is some melting already. As soon as I finish my bagel,, I wiil go out and clear the back door (again) and maybe make a path to my walker.

I worry about you having to keep your walker outside. Do you not use it in the house? I have one, do not need it yet. It was my sister's.

@GardenGerty No, I only use it when I'm walking somewhere or taking the bus. I'm fine in the house, lots of stuff to hold on to should I need to. Besides, if I kept it in the house, I'd have to take it up and down stairs if I wanted to go anywhere.

Good morning! It is 18F in my part of Missouri this morning. The sun is shining and we're supposed to reach 40F today. The street in front of the house looks clear but our sidewalk still isn't visible and neither is our driveway. Hmm... I'd definitely try your breakfast. It sounds interesting.

I just finished eating a breakfast sandwich by Jimmy Dean. I prefer their sausage, egg and cheese croissant.

(I was late taking my morning meds and have to eat something after I take them if I don't want to get sick in a couple of hours. I don't know which med is responsible for making me sick if I don't eat but wouldn't eat so early in the day if I didn't need it.) I hope you enjoy your breakfast and hope the sun clears a lot of the snow/ice out today.

Not going to quite make it to forty, after all. The other side of the street is more melty than mine, and we still have snow all the way to the street on this side. Too bad, as I was wanting to drag my trash can to the road. I would enjoy the breakfast sandwiches but they are a bit pricey. Nice to have them ready so easily, though.

@GardenGerty We're on the West side of the street here and we still have snow all the way to the street. Our back yard hasn't melted at all. Pretty buys those sandwiches for me because one of the grocery apps keeps giving discounts for them. Last month the discount was buy a box and get one free. They're also buy one get on on the Jimmy Dean chicken and biscuit sandwiches which we both like.
