Here's something for a change

Gaza has been in the news for months now for perhaps not so happy reasons. Kidnapping, killing, bombing, destruction, suffering, hunger and what not! My heart cries seeing what we have brought ourselves to! And it's not new too. It has been happening generations after generations. However, surely there had been better times in Gaza as well. As I took out my bible diary to prepare myself for tomorrow's mass, I discovered that there is a saint from Gaza, Saint Prophyrius. He was the Bishop of Gaza form 395 to 420 A.D. Well that's quite far into the past but it surely gladdened me to know something different from war and destruction. St. Prophyrius feast falls on February 26.

February 26 is our son's birthday. He is probably glad he wasn't called Prophyrius!

That Gaza situation is really sad and painful.
