My new breakfast sensation!

I tend to have an egg for breakfast, sunny side up. Sometimes I have bacon or ham on the side. I bought some eggs recently (now up from $6/dozen to $9/dozen here) and decided to "invent" a new dish. All I do is drop a couple of slices of extra sharp cheddar cheese on top of the egg as soon as I drop the egg into the frying pan. The cheese is delightfully melted but not crusty when I take the egg out. Yum! Any new incredible new creations in your kitchen?

@TheHorse You are so humble. I'm sure you are a very good cook if you can pull off making your own meals.

@lilacskies I have a couple of dishes that are really good. But for the most part, I add stuff to frozen food.

I like my egg cooked a little more done, so the cheese might be too done. Congrats!

That does sound nice. I used to put an egg in the middle of mashed potato, with grated cheese on top, then pop it in the microwave to cook.

I tried some sort of cloud bread, I'll post once I get the courage. Actually, I just want to experiment more so I can share a bigger picture. My father often adds cheese slices to sunny-side up eggs but not cheddar, and lots of butter. I look forward eating more eggs next week but I don't know if I'll have them that way. I didn't get any bacon this week either, I got carrots instead. Yes, I plan to try that vegan bacon thing.

Now I miss having eggs so next month I will order some. The egg part sounds good and I think I will get some corned beef hash as well/

I haven't been too inventive lately in the kitchen. I did make some homemade chicken noodle soup today. I've never put peas in it, I usually just use carrots, celery, and onion. For some reason, my son asked me to put in a few green peas, so I did. He ate it, that's all that matters. He loves chicken noodle soup. I have never thought of making eggs that way, but it doesn't sound bad at all.
